Terms of sale

These terms apply to every order you place with Black Sheep Designs, whether through this website, by email or in person. Placing an order means you agree to them. Every order is custom-made for you, so please read the sections on proofs, misprints and cancellations closely.

Proofs and approval

Before we produce anything, you’ll get a mockup or proof to approve. Please check it carefully: spelling, placement, sizes and colours. Once you approve it, we produce exactly what it shows, and mistakes in an approved proof are your responsibility.

Your artwork

• By sending us artwork, logos or text, you confirm you own them or have permission to have them printed or embroidered.
• We can turn down any artwork we’re not comfortable producing.
• Artwork stays yours. We only use it to produce your orders.

Payment

• Orders are paid in full before production starts.
• For orders over $2,500, a 50% deposit starts production, and the balance is due before the order is picked up or shipped.
• We invoice you separately; no payment is taken on this website.

Misprints and returns

• Because every item is custom-decorated, orders can’t be returned or exchanged.
• Decorating has a small natural spoilage rate. Up to 2% of an order may be misprinted or damaged in production, and those items aren’t replaced.
• If more than 2% of an order is affected by our mistake, we’ll credit or replace the extra items.
• Problems must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order, with photos where possible. Please don’t wash, alter or wear items you’re reporting.

Garments you supply

The same 2% spoilage allowance applies to garments you supply yourself. We’re not responsible for up to 2% of customer-supplied items being damaged in production, or for problems caused by the garments themselves, such as fabric that doesn’t take ink or thread well.

Colours and sizes

Printed and embroidered colours can vary slightly from what you see on screen or in a mockup. Garment sizes follow the manufacturer’s size charts, so please check them before ordering.

Turnaround

Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees, unless we’ve agreed to a deadline in writing. Rush orders may cost extra.

Cancellations

We order your garments as soon as your order is placed, so orders can’t be cancelled free of charge. Depending on how far along your order is, a partial refund may be possible, less a restocking fee and any costs already incurred.

Shipping and pickup

• Once your order is handed to the carrier, delays, damage or loss in transit are claimed through the carrier. We’ll help you with the claim.
• Pickup orders are collected from our shop at 47 Antares Drive, Nepean, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
